Does Polar Balance require an account?

No. You can use the app in guest mode with no account required. All data stays on your device. An account is only needed if you want to enable optional cloud sync across multiple devices.

How do I enable cloud sync?

Sign in with Google or Apple from within the app. Once signed in, your data will sync automatically across any device using the same account. You can disable sync or sign out at any time.

Is my data private?

Yes. In guest mode, your data never leaves your device. If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored securely via Firebase (Google's cloud infrastructure) and is never sold or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my data?

To remove local data, uninstall the app or use the in-app reset option. To delete cloud-synced data and your account, email us at contact@grayconsultingmanagement.com and we will permanently remove all associated data within 30 days.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Polar Balance is offline-first. All core features — mood logging, habit tracking, and notes — work without an internet connection. Cloud sync, when enabled, occurs in the background when connectivity is available.

I lost my data after reinstalling. Can I recover it?

If you were using guest mode, data is stored locally and cannot be recovered after uninstallation. If you had cloud sync enabled and were signed in, your data will restore automatically when you sign back in to the same account. This is why we recommend enabling cloud sync if data continuity matters to you.

Is Polar Balance a medical app?

No. Polar Balance is a personal self-reflection and habit tracking tool. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional mental health care. Please consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.

What platforms is Polar Balance available on?

Polar Balance is available on iOS. If you have questions about availability on other platforms, contact us at contact@grayconsultingmanagement.com.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Please email a description of the issue — including your device model and iOS version — to contact@grayconsultingmanagement.com. We take all bug reports seriously and will follow up promptly.
